haha.
i always forget you exist.
you used to be the place to be,
but now you're like a shitty dive bar.
but, then again, i like shitty dive bars.

i'm home now. kalamazoo didn't work out. i couldn't find a job.
it's pretty depressing, but whatever. you gotta do what you gotta do.
and i have no idea what i'm going to do now.
i have $10, no job, and a maxed out credit card.
my life is awesome.

yep.
it's been pretty alright out here.
i haven't really been doing a whole lot.
soooo..

i had an interview today at target.
i think it went pretty well.
i'll find out in the next 2 days if i got the job or not.
so fingers crossed, i guess.

dave turns 21 this weekend, so there's a bunch of our friends coming out here. it should be a pretty good time.
ummm. the end, i guess.

my room is still really cold.
but it's not too bad, i guess.

so it's been going pretty good here so far. minus the no luck on the job hunt so far. but i'm hoping that that'll change soon. i've made friends with all my roommates now, which is pretty awesome. and i have a space heater now, so my room isn't freezing cold anymore.

i went to a sweet "art hop" the other day. there's this huge warehouse-type building downtown, and i guess once a month a bunch of local artists go and set up like a little gallery in one of the rooms there. there was soo much stuff. the building was 4 stories filled with art. it was definitely awesome. and it was free. and they were giving out free wine. so you really couldn't ask for a whole lot more.

a few of my friends came up this weekend. it was really nice. hopefully that happens a decent amount. i miss my friends.

well. i should probably go put in another 10 applications and not hear back from any of them...see ya.

so i'm in kalamazoo now. i've got all my stuff moved in and everything.
it's been pretty lonely here so far. i hope i make some friends.
it's sad being away from home.
tomorrow i'm going to go find a job hopefully.
we'll see how that goes.

you know, i totally just remembered that i had a livejournal.
i didn't know anyone still used these. weird.
maybe i'll start updating this regularly...who knows.

updates on my life, i guess:

1. I'm moving to kalamazoo next week. and dang, i am nervous about it. i have an internship at a sub-par studio, and i hope that that isn't going to suck. i'm probably a better engineer than the guy there. so maybe they'll hire me. but, if i can't find another job out there that pays me by december, i'm going to have to hang my head in shame and move back home. and i really don't want to do that. at least not back to my parents house.

2. one of my parents friends from when my dad was in the air force came over the other day. they hadn't seen each other in 28 years, and the guy just randomly called my dad up out of nowhere, i guess. but they stopped by and it was pretty awesome. me, my dad, my sister, and the guy and his daughter jammed for about 3 hours. it was a lot of fun.

3. i got to see my sisters this weekend too. that was pretty awesome as well.

4. my car needs about $1400 in repairs. my power steering is messed up. i guess there's a bunch of leaks and crap. and i need new struts. and just got new tires. ugh. i hate car problems.

5. me and keith magna have been making some sweeeet sweet jams lately. NOTIONS. i think we're going to do some more recording tonight. i'm really excited about this "band". www.myspace.com/notionsgrandma

6. going camping this weekend. it's going to be cold and amazing. we're supposed to have pretty nice weather though.

i think that's mostly everything. my life isn't too exciting these days.

i have the best girlfriend in the world.
she is beautiful and i like her a lot.
i really miss her dearly.

well, here i am in canada. so far, i've been here for about 7 hours, i've met at least 25 people, have had at least 12 conversations about music, and every person i've met plays one or multiple instruments. this is almost a dream come true. it's ridiculous how well this suits me. we haven't even started classes yet, but i know it's going to be a blast. judging by this first day, the next year is going to be one of the best i've had. my other roommate doesn't move in until wednesday, but the two that i've met are pretty cool. i'm going to be good friends with one of them. his name is mike and he likes metal a lot. it's awesome. a few of us discussed having a listening party, where 4 or 5 of us will get together and each get like an hour to play each other music that we are into. i can't imagine a better place for me to be right now. i'm hoping most of my friends will come visit at least once while i'm here. it's a blast. and we have like 4 couches downstairs. so whatever. my roommates are pretty laid back. i don't even know what else to say.

the show this friday is cancelled.
not that anyone was actually gonna go...

so on dubday night we began construction on Fort Andre.
it is an underground fort. and it's awesome. 
it is 12 ft X 12ft. and it's going to be 5 feet down. and built out of the ground about 3 feet. 
the digging is almost completed. then we build the walls and the roof. 
it is spectacular. 
the location will remain undisclosed to those not associated with Fort Andre. 
word.

i'm really pumped for spring break.

soo....as some of you have probably heard me say before, my school is a piece of shit. 
as a result of this i am looking into further schooling in the recording arts.
i've looked at a few schools, and i am very interested in one in london, ontario.
it is called Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology.
it's an 11 month program, so i wouldn't be gone very long.
and it is only about 2 hrs away. so i could come home often. 
i'm excited about the possibilities.
